Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine and ex wife Debbie Rowe are working out a secret deal that would allow them to avoid a custody battle and guarantee that Joe Jackson, the pop star’s father could never get custody of the King of Pop’s three children, Paris (11), Prince Michael I (12) and Prince Michael II (Blanket) (7). Hallelluah!!

[From ABC News.com] Debbie Rowe, the former Mrs. Jackson and mother of his two oldest children, is willing to forego a fight for the children if their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, allows her more time to visit with the kids, and guarantees that their grandfather, Joe Jackson, whom Michael accused of abuse, could never be named a guardian.

A custody hearing scheduled for today has been postponed until July 20.

“We are pleased that the child custody hearing has been continued over until July 20 to further our progress and allow us to privately and amicably resolve this most important matter in a dignified manner for the benefit of the children first and all involved,” Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, said in a statement to The Associated Press.

Rowe and Katherine want to ensure Jackson’s father, who Michael accused of beating him as a child, does not get access to the children after he was reported as saying he wants to turn them into stars like their late father.

Jackson’s former wife, who gave up her custody rights to her two children in 1999, is reportedly considering applying for a restraining order tolegally bar Joe from contacting the kids.

A source tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “The last thing she wanted was for those kids to be looked after by Joe and go through what Michael went through. When they were together Michael poured out his heart about how much he loathed Joe for what he had done.

And Katherine knows it’s best for the children if they can settle it between themselves and keep it all out of courts. “They can’t stop Joseph seeing the kids at family functions and parties, but they can and will fight to prevent him having any formal role whatsoever in their upbringing”.
