Paris Hilton has denied the pet shop incident reported last week. According to PageSix Paris Hilton wanted a puppy for a photo shoot so she tried to buy a Yorkie at the Puppy Store in Melrose Avenue. Paris was rejected by a pet store employee because was clearly an impulse buy.
Over the weekend, spies said, Paris Hilton was on her way to a photo shoot and "wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter." Hilton waltzed in and tried to buy a Yorkie but was rebuffed by an employee who said it was clearly "an impulse buy." Hilton, who has a menagerie of neglected animals, went "ballistic," we're told. "She started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!'" - but to no avail. The store had no comment.
Paris Hilton is so worried about these stories out of control so she wants to clear some things up. She wrote on her blog It wasn't true. Paris Hilton knows that puppies are not fashion accessories or toys. She loves her 1500 pets and she treats them as if they were her children… OMG!!!

I wasn't looking for a new pet, I wasn't even at a photo shoot that day, (I was down the street at Benji's DCMA clothing store) and I actually have a Yorkie puppy. I love animals and the cruel things people say are not acceptable. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly–I treat them as if they were my children. Of course I support pet adoption from shelters, and I made sure that my BFF show involved a local one to spread the word about how these animals need loving owners. So it is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would "go with my outfit.
I believe her… I mean really
